Product Overview:
Histone, H2A, H2B, H3, H4 are all involved in chromatin packing, organization, regulation and memory. One function of H2A.X is to signal the maintenance of a cll cycle arrest until repair is completed because it is rapidly phosphorylated at Ser139 by the atazia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) kinase in response to DNA double-strand breaks. The accumulation of high levels of H2A.X phosphorylation is a very early and accurate indicator of apoptosis.

The MILLIPLEX MAP Phospho-Histone H2A.X (SER139) MAPmate pair is used in conjunction with the MILLIPLEX MAP Cell Signaling Buffer and Detection Kit (Catalog # 48-602) to detect the presence of phosphorylated Histone H2A.X (SER139) in cell lysates using the Luminex® 100 IS, 200, or HTS system.
