Anti-UbcH7

Species Reactivity Key Applications Host Format Antibody Type
H IP, WB Rabbit Affinity Purified Polyclonal Antibody
Description:
Anti-UbcH7
Trade Name:
Chemicon (Millipore)
Specificity:
Recognizes UbcH7.
Immunogen:
Full length, highly purified, UbcH7 protein.
Background Information:
UbcH7 interacts with the HECT protein, E6-AP and the c-Cbl RING domain. Evidence suggests that this E2 is involved in both the degradation of non-"N-end rule" protein substrates and of certain N-a -acetylated proteins as well as the degradation of tumor suppressor protein p53.
Species Reactivity:
Human
Application Notes:
Western blot: 1:100-1:1000

Immunoprecipitation

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.
Presentation:
Protein A purified immunoglobulin in PBS, pH 7.4 containing 0.02% sodium azide and 20% glycerol.
Storage Conditions:
Maintain at -70°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 12 months after date of receipt. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. May be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 month.

Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme E2-18 kDa; Ubiquitin-protein Ligase; Ubiquitin Carrier Protein
Usage Statement:
Unless otherwise stated in our catalog or other company documentation accompanying the product(s), our products are intended for research use only and are not to be used for any other purpose, which includes but is not limited to, unauthorized commercial uses, in vitro diagnostic uses, ex vivo or in vivo therapeutic uses or any type of consumption or application to humans or animals.
Entrez Gene Summary:
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. The encoded protein shares 100% sequence identity with the mouse counterpart. This gene is ubiquitously expressed, with high expression seen in adult muscle. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
Key Applications:
  • Immunoprecipitation
  • Western Blotting
