The effect of the tester air outlet can be visualized by conducting a smoke test. In the product data sheet we provide, an aerological scheme of our unit, done in a laminar flow hood. A test should be conducted in each monitored area to assure airflows are not conflicting.
Yes, The batteries should be left at room temperature for a couple of hours before re-charging. The efficiency of the batteries decreases with cold temperatures.
Yes, the LCD display indicates "EOC" (End Of Cycle) after the sampling cycle. If something happened before the normal sampling cycle is completed you will not see this indication.
Either use the wipes supplied in the carrying case when the product is initially purchased, or alcohol. You may also use a swab containing alcohol, or spray a small quantity of alcohol on the tester head. Please note that alcohol should not be sprayed on the M Air T unit as it is not explosion proof.
Visually inspect the sieve, check for damages, corrosion, etc. Additionally, check the agar cassette surface after impaction to verify a uniform distribution of dimples.
No, the tester electronically controls the battery charge. The unit remains functional when plugged to an external electrical source.
The M Air T unit ran over 1000 tests during qualification and did not show any deviation of the flow rate. Millipore recommends to re-calibrate the unit once or twice per year
