Product Overview:
Progenitor Cell Targeted (PCT) Airway Epithelium Medium, catalog number CnT-17, is a progenitor cell targeted liquid culture medium kit including both basal medium and separate supplements. CnT-17 is a fully defined, serum and BPE-free formulation, developed for maximum efficiency isolation and growth of airway epithelium. It does not contain antibiotics / antimycotics*. The basal medium contains amino acids, minerals, vitamins and organic compounds, but is protein free.

Developed for maximum efficiency isolation and growth of airway epithelium.
PCT media are very effective at delaying the onset of differentiation; therefore for differentiation applications, we recommend the use of a non-PCT formulation (CnT-23). Suggested seeding density:
Isolation: 4 x 103 organoids or cells/cm2.
Passaging: 4 x 103 cells/cm2.
For differentiation, we recommend the use of CnT-23 medium because the PCT formulation of CnT-17 is known to cause a delay in the onset of terminal differentiation.
Antibiotics/ Antimycotics may be added if desired; CELLnTEC products CnT-ABM10, CnT-ABM20 or CnT-ABM will provide a final concentration of 100 U/mL Penicillin, 100 µg/mL Streptomycin and 250 ng/mL Amphotericin B.
This medium is designed for use in a 5% CO2 atmosphere.
