Product Overview:
CnT-57 is a progenitor cell targeted liquid culture medium kit including both basal medium and separate supplements. CnT-57 contains a low Bovine Pituitary Extract concentration of 6 µg/mL. It does not contain antibiotics / antimycotics. The basal medium contains amino acids, minerals, vitamins and organic compounds, but is protein free.

Application Notes:
For the absolute best isolation and growth, high colony forming efficiency and extended longevity, CnT-57 combines all the progenitor cell retention benefits of a PCT medium with the isolation and growth boost of BPE. Also recommended for use with sub-optimal conditions such as low seeding densities or low tissue quality. Suggested seeding density for human cell isolation is 4 x 104 cells/cm2 and passaging is 4 x 103 cells/cm2. Suggested seeding density for mouse isolation is 4 x 104 cells/cm2 and passaging is 2 x 104 cells/cm2. For keratinocyte differentiation, we recommend the use of CnT-02 medium because the PCT formulation of CnT-57 may delay the onset of terminal differentiation. Cells may be switched to CnT-07, the defined PCT medium without weaning if desired.
Antibiotics/ Antimycotics may be added if desired; CELLnTEC products CnT-ABM10, CnT-ABM20 or CnT-ABM will provide a final concentration of 100 U/mL Penicillin, 100 µg/mL Streptomycin and 250 ng/mL Amphotericin B.
