Product Overview:
IL-2 is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor which is produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation and exerts its biological activity to promote the continuous proliferation and maturation of additional T-cells. The receptor of this cytokine is a heterotrimeric protein complex whose gamma chain is also shared by interleukin 4 (IL-4) and interleukin 7 (IL-7). Additionally, IL-2 has been found to stimulate the growth and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, LAK cells, monocytes, and oligodendrocytes. The Millipore mouse IL-2 ELISPOT Antibody Pair provides a sensitive and highly reliable method for the detection of IL-2 secreting cells at the single cell level.

The 500 µg purified IL-2 capture antibody is stored in a preservative-free phosphate buffer solution, pH 7.2, and should be handled under aseptic conditions. The 100 µg purified IL-2 biotinylated detection antibody is stored in a phosphate solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide. Streptavidin alkaline phosphatase is supplied in a Tris Buffer, pH 8.0, containing 0.1 M sodium chloride, 1 mM magnesium chloride, 0.2% (w/v) BSA, 10% (w/w) glycerol, and 0.1% sodium azide.
