Granulocyte/macrophage - colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is a hematopoietic cytokine that functions as a white blood cell growth factor and stimulates stem cells to produce granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils) and monocytes. Produced by activated T cells, B cells, mast cells, macrophages, fibroblasts and endothelial cells, GM-CSF specifically works as a growth factor for erythroid, megakaryocyte and eosinophil progenitors, in addition to supporting the colony formation of granulocyte/macrophage progenitor cells. The Millipore human GM-CSF ELISPOT Antibody Pair provides a sensitive and highly reliable method for the detection of GM-CSF secreting cells at the single cell level.

The 500 µg purified GM-CSF capture antibody is buffered in a preservative-free phosphate solution, pH 7.2, and should be handled under aseptic conditions. The 100 µg purified GM-CSF biotinylated detection antibody is buffered in a phosphate solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide. Streptavidin alkaline phosphatase is supplied in a Tris Buffer, pH 8.0, containing 0.1 M sodium chloride, 1 mM magnesium chloride, 0.2% (w/v) BSA, 10% (w/w) glycerol, and 0.1% sodium azide.
