Product Overview:
Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a heterodimeric cytokine composed of two disulfide-linked subunits, p35 and p40, and not only induces IFN-gamma production, but also has important regulatory effects on T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. The p40 subunit of IL-12 (IL-12p40), which also combines with another 19 kDa protein to make up the novel IL-23 growth factor, has been reported to strongly inhibit different biological activities of IL-12, including the induction of IFN-gamma, the mitogenic effects on PHA blasts, and the enhancement of NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity. The Millipore mouse IL-12p40 ELISPOT Antibody Pair provides a sensitive and highly reliable method for the detection of IL-12p40 and IL-23p40 secreting cells at the single cell level.

The 500 µg purified IL-12p40 capture antibody is buffered in a phosphate solution containing 5% trehalose, and the 100 µg purified IL-12p40 biotinylated detection antibody is buffered in a phosphate solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide. Streptavidin alkaline phosphatase is supplied in a Tris Buffer, pH 8.0, containing 0.1 M sodium chloride, 1 mM magnesium chloride, 0.2% (w/v) BSA, 10% (w/w) glycerol, and 0.1% sodium azide.
