Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNFα) is a multifunctional cytokine that is secreted by activated macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, T-cells, and NK cells, and is involved in the regulation of several biological processes including inflammatory responses, cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation. While under normal conditions, human TNFα primarily functions to regulate immune cells, the overproduction of this cytokine has also been implicated in autoimmune diseases and cancer. The Millipore human TNFα ELISPOT Antibody Pair provides a sensitive and highly reliable method for the detection of TNFα secreting cells at the single cell level.

The 500 µg purified TNFα capture antibody is buffered in a preservative-free phosphate solution, pH 7.2, and should be handled under aseptic conditions. The 100 µg purified TNFα biotinylated detection antibody is buffered in a phosphate solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide. Streptavidin alkaline phosphatase is supplied in a Tris Buffer, pH 8.0, containing 0.1 M sodium chloride, 1 mM magnesium chloride, 0.2% (w/v) BSA, 10% (w/w) glycerol, and 0.1% sodium azide.
