Product Overview:
Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNFα) is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine that is secreted by activated macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, T-cells, and NK cells, and is involved in the regulation of several biological processes including inflammatory responses, cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation. While under normal conditions, mouse TNFα expression has been shown to induce the destruction of tumor cells, the overproduction of this cytokine has also been implicated in autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer, as well as the induction of cachexia and toxic shock. The Millipore mouse TNFα ELISPOT Antibody Pair provides a sensitive and highly reliable method for the detection of TNFα secreting cells at the single cell level.

The 500 µg purified TNFα capture antibody is stored in a preservative-free phosphate buffer, pH 7.2, and should be handled under aseptic conditions. The 100 µg TNFα biotinylated detection antibody is stored in a phosphate solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide. Streptavidin alkaline phosphatase is supplied in a Tris Buffer, pH 8.0, containing 0.1 M sodium chloride, 1 mM magnesium chloride, 0.2% (w/v) BSA, 10% (w/w) glycerol, and 0.1% sodium azide.
