Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor, recombinant human
Description:
Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor, recombinant human
Trade Name:
Chemicon (Millipore)
Product Overview:
Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) is a potent stimulatory of bone marrow cells, especially those of neutrophil lineage. In addition, G-CSF can enhance the survival and activate the immunological functions of mature neutrophils. Human G-CSF is an 18.7 kDa protein containing 174 amino acid residues.
Key Applications:
Cell Culture

Specific Activity:
GF051 is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED(50) was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 cells is <=0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >=1x107 units/mg.
Species:
Human
Storage Conditions:
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstitute with sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions. Reconstituted GF051 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C for up to 6 months. Further dilutions should be made into buffer containing carrier protein or medium containing serum.
