Pancreatic Cell Culture Supplement is intended for the preparation of complete cell culture medium in conjunction with Pancreatic Cell Culture Medium (SCR016). This complete medium is optimized for the culture of LT2 Immortalized Pancreatic Mesenchymal Cells (SCR013) and VIT1 Primary Pancreatic Mesenchymal Cells (SCR014).

The Pancreatic Cell Culture Supplement is provided as a 20X concentrate. The following table provides useful quantities of Pancreatic Cell Culture Supplement and Pancreatic Cell Culture Medium for cell culture.

For optimum viability of the LT2 Immortalized Pancreatic Mesenchymal Cells (SCR013) and VIT1 Primary Pancreatic Mesenchymal Cells (SCR014), it is recommended that the Pancreatic Cell Culture Medium be maintained within the tissue incubator, equilibrated to 37°C and 5% CO2 while the VitroPlus II concentrate is stored at 4°C. Use a container such as a vented tissue culture flask to store basal medium to ensure gas exchange with the medium since it is buffered with sodium bicarbonate. Complete medium is then prepared just prior to use by 20-fold dilution, according to the above table.

Storage Conditions:
The Pancreatic Cell Culture Supplement concentrate is provided frozen. Prior to use, thaw the entire bottle at room temperature or at refrigerator temperature overnight. Aliquot and store according to usage needs. The concentrate is stable until expiration (2 years from date of manufacture) at -20°C or for one month at 4°C. Four 12.5 mL aliquots are useful for most applications, with three aliquots maintained at -20°C (12.5 mL of concentrate is sufficient to prepare 250 mL of complete medium).
