Product Overview:
Epidermal Keratinocyte Medium Complete, catalog number CnT-02, is developed for improved isolation and growth of mouse keratinocytes, and differentiation of both mouse and human keratinocytes. Optimized using an array of super-sensitive mouse strains, CnT-02 delivers excellent in vitro growth of mouse and human epidermal keratinocytes as a result of its highly optimized basal formulation and supplement profile. CnT-02 is a liquid culture medium kit including both basal medium and separate supplements. CnT-02 is a fully defined, serum and BPE-free formulation, which contains 0.07 mM calcium. It does not contain antibiotics / antimycotics. The basal medium contains amino acids, minerals, vitamins and organic compounds, but is protein free.
Application Notes:
Developed for differentiation of human keratinocytes. For suggested seeding densities, please refer to "Suggested Seeding Densities for CELLnTEC Media" in protocols tab. Formulated for mouse and human keratinocytes, but may be used for other species as well. If using a PCT media (i.e. CnT-07) for isolation, cells should be transferred from CnT-07 medium to CnT-02 medium prior to induction of differentiation. May also be used for mouse keratinocyte isolation.
Antibiotics/ Antimycotics may be added if desired; CELLnTEC products CnT-ABM10, CnT-ABM20 or CnT-ABM will provide a final concentration of 100 U/mL Penicillin, 100 µg/mL Streptomycin and 250 ng/mL Amphotericin B.
This medium is designed for use in a 5% CO2 atmosphere.
