PCT Bladder Epithelium Medium, Low BPE (Human)
CnT-58 is a progenitor cell targeted liquid culture medium kit including both basal medium and separate supplements. CnT-58 contains a low Bovine Pituitary Extract concentration of 6mg/ml. It does not contain antibiotics / antimycotics*. The basal medium contains amino acids, minerals, vitamins and organic compounds, but is protein free.
Cell Culture
For isolation and growth, CnT-58 combines all the progenitor cell retention benefits of a PCT medium with the isolation and growth boost of BPE.
Isolation protocol and seeding density are critical for good cell growth – see resources page on www.cellntec.com for the best protocol.
For differentiation, we recommend the use of CnT-21 medium because the PCT formulation of CnT-58 may delay the onset of terminal differentiation. Cells may be switched to CnT-18, the defined PCT medium without weaning if desired.
Antibiotics/ Antimycotics may be added if desired; CELLnTEC products CnT-ABM10, CnT-ABM20 or CnT-ABM will provide a final concentration of 100 U/mL Penicillin, 100 µg/mL Streptomycin and 250 ng/mL Amphotericin B.

Use within 3 months of supplementation. Do not freeze supplemented medium.
