Product Overview:
The MILLIPLEX® MAP EpiQuant™ Phosphotyrosine Cell Signaling Panel 1 is a Luminex based approach for assessing the functional states of cells by profiling tyrosine phosphorylation changes across signaling pathways and cell phenotypes. Site-specific, quantitative measurements with picomolar sensitivity support diverse sample types and applications across the drug discovery / development continuum.
The MILLIPLEX® MAP EpiQuant™ Phosphotyrosine Cell Signaling Panel 1 is used for the analysis of cellular lysates prepared using the EpiQuant Sample Preparation Kit (MPEQ-SP, purchased separately). EpiQuant beads may be combined in desired configurations for the profiling of prepared lysate samples.

Background Information:
Multiplexing, using the Luminex® xMAP® platform, provides faster answers to cell signaling questions compared to traditional Western blots, mass spectrometry analyses and radioactive phosphorylation assays requiring large amounts of resources, time and sample.
However, multiplexing still presents some challenges. The requirement for native protein conformation can result in complex buffer interactions with phosphoproteins, as well as inter-antibody effects when multiplexed. Resulting difficulties include:
• Lack of high quality antibodies to a large number of targets with specific phosphorylation site modification for pathway analysis
• Qualitative, not quantitative results
• The need for separate wells to analyze each phosphorylated site on a specific analyte, as well as total protein
To overcome these multiplexing challenges, in addition to our MILLIPLEX® MAP cell signaling kits and MAPmates, Millipore proudly introduces our new MILLIPLEX® MAP EpiQuant™ Cell Signaling portfolio – a major advance in the design and implementation of quantitative immunoassays. The EpiQuant™ technology provides assays that are specific, quantitative and easily multiplexed.
MILLIPLEX® MAP EpiQuant™ assays allow customers to:
• Easily design panels with a high degree of “plex-ability” (e.g. > 4 times larger than traditional cell signaling multiplex assays).
• Customize their assay by selecting only the analytes they want
• Obtain quantitative results at picomolar sensitivities
• Measure phosphorylation site specific concentrations of proteins (even multiple phosphorylation sites on the same protein) — all in one well
• Measure both total and phosphoprotein — all in the same well (1H 2010)
