Background Information:
Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH), Corticosterone and Melatonin are three important circulating hormones that are predominantly secreted from the pituitary gland, the adrenal cortex and the pineal gland, respectively. These hormones play critical roles in the regulation of stress, metabolism, and circadian rhythm. Millipore has developed a Rat Stress Hormone Panel for the simultaneous measurement of these three hormines in rat serum, plasma and culture samples
