AFS Systems Guarantee Production of Consistent Water Quality

Specifically designed to produce NCCLS* Type I reagent water for feed to clinical analyzers, Millipore's AFS systems are used to support a variety of on board applications from reagent reconstitution, probe rinsing and cuvette washing, to use in constant-temperature water baths. AFS systems employ a combination of purification technologies and water quality monitoring techniques to guarantee production of consistent water quality – eliminating the risk of problems cause by poor or inconsistent feedwater quality.

Compliance With Regulatory Standards

AFS systems are UL and ULC listed under file E216983 in the “Laboratory Use Electrical Equipment Category”, and meet the requirements of UL 61010 standards. They also have Class One Medical Device Status under FDA citation 21 CFR 862.2050. AFS systems conform to European Union CE directives 89/336/CEE (electromagnetic compatibility) and 72/23/CEE (electrical equipment within certain voltage limits). All systems are manufactured in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified environments.
