Whether you’re studying cell signaling, cancer, stem cells,
immune function, or some other frontier of life science, you’ll quickly be an
expert cell analyst with FlowCellect kits and Milli-Mark conjugates.
FlowCellect Kits are EMD Millipore's proprietary multiparameter flow cytometry
kits for cellular analysis. We’ve taken the guesswork out of assay development
so you can focus on your results. Each kit provides a unique combination of
directly conjugated antibodies and/or fluorescent dyes and protein reporters to
monitor changes in protein expression and post-translational modification using
flow cytometry. The kits also contain complete buffer sets, protocols and
pre-defined gate settings. They are fully optimized for
"plug-and-play" cellular analysis on Guava EasyCyte and other flow
cytometry instruments.
The Milli-Mark fluorescent conjugated
antibodies are specifically designed, optimized and validated for flow
cytometry, exhibit superior signal-to-noise ratios, and eliminate the need for
a secondary antibody.
Cell Counting and Viability
Cell counting and viability assessments can be used in a
variety of applications, such as cytotoxicity studies, PBMC counting, rapid
apoptosis assessment, and increasing reproducibility in cell-based assays. The
Guava ViaCount Assay is fast becoming the new standard for viability and cell
counting. In this simple no-wash, mix-and-read-assay, you can accurately obtain
absolute direct total cell counts without the need for reference beads.
Additional benefits include viability assessments, and determine apoptotic
percentages— all from tiny samples. You’ll enjoy several advantages over
traditional methods, including greater accuracy, reproducibility, and speed.

Cell Health
Parameters of cell health include apoptosis, oxidative
stress, mitochondrial health, DNA integrity, and cell cycle profile.
Apoptosis, or programmed cell
death, is an important regulator of cell growth and proliferation. Breakdowns
in the apoptotic pathway can also lead to cancer and various diseases.
Examination of the cell cycle has proven to be an accurate and effective
method for assessing cell health. FlowCellect kits make cell cycle studies
easier by using a cell cycle phase-specific antibody plus a DNA dye in flow
cytometry applications. Bivariate analysis using flow cytometry not only
reveals the distribution of cells in particular phases of the cycle, but also
helps elucidate the molecular and functional mechanisms associated within the
cell cycle.
The loss of mitochondrial membrane potential is an early
sign of declining cell health. Multiparametric evaluation of cell populations
using FlowCellect kits for mitochondrial health enables detailed kinetic and
temporal analysis of the events that lead to apoptosis.

Immunology
The immune system is made up of multiple cell types
collectively called lymphocytes. Lymphocyte subtypes include B cells (which
secrete antibodies), cytotoxic T cells, helper T cells (which secrete
cytokines), and natural killer (NK) cells. Characterization of lymphocyte
subtypes and cytokine signaling is essential for understanding the complex
nature of the immune system. Activation by antigens, suppression of normal
immune activation, and disease states can affect the phenotypes of lymphocytes.
Multiparameter phenotypic analysis with FlowCellect immunology kits allows for
a greater understanding of these intricate processes. As a part of our
complete benchtop flow cytometry solution including instruments, software,
service, and reagents, our Milli-Mark fluorescently-labeled antibodies for
immunology are specifically designed, optimized and validated for flow
cytometry applications.

Cell Signaling
FlowCellect cell signaling kits simultaneously detect key
protein activation states and crosstalk using directly conjugated,
phospho-specific antibodies. With these kits, you can discern multiple pathway
activation and crosstalk in a time-dependent manner, or study the correlation
between pathway activation and changes in general cell function and health. In
combination with our numerous Milli-Mark fluorescent conjugated antibodies
against signaling pathway proteins, our signaling kits and reagents provide a
complete solution for multiparameter analysis of pathways such as
EGFR/MAPK/Erk, Akt/mTOR/PI3K, Src, and Ras.

Neuroscience
Millipore’s neuro-specific Milli-Mark fluorescent
conjugated antibodies grant flow cytometry access to neuroscientists in cancer
research and regenerative medicine. Multiparameter flow cytometric cell
analysis of neuro-specific markers can help elucidate the differentiation
status and cell fate of heterogeneneous cell populations.

Epigenetics
Over the past decade, the study of epigenetics has shifted
from basic mechanisms to their effect on development and disease. Throughout
this time, Millipore has been dedicated to developing and refining technologies
for the study of epigenetic phenomena. To complement our large portfolio of
antibodies and kits for epigenetics and gene regulation, we offer a number of
Milli-Mark fluorescent conjugated antibodies to enable the multiparametric
correlation of epigenetic regulation with diverse phenotypes in single cells
and cell populations.
