Prostak Microfiltration Modules

Description

The Prostak Open-Channel module is the membrane-based separations device in Prostak Tangential Flow Filter (TFF) Systems. The module itself is a tangential flow stacked plate device with an open feed channel. The modules are solvent-bonded and contain neither adhesives nor compression-dependent membrane seals. Prostak open-channel modules using Durapore microporous membranes are steam sterilizable for at least 20 cycles at 126 °C for 1 hour at less than 0.14 bar (2 psi) feed to retentate pressure.

Typical Applications

Concentration/Clarification of:

  • Mammalian, bacterial and mycelial cell suspensions
  • Emulsions and colloidal suspension
  • Viruses, proteins and other bio-organic macromolecular solutions
  • Polysaccharides and other high viscosity solutions
  • Yeast, algae, and other high solids suspensions
  • Protein precipitates
