Millipore now offers pre-coated ECM multiwell plates in multiple formats including Collagen, and Fibronectin. Poly-D-Lysine coated plates are also available. Studies show that anchorage dependent cells growing on ECM undergo more efficient plating, have a higher proliferation rate, reach a higher density and demonstrate enhanced differentiation potential.
MultiScreen plates and Millicell inserts with MCE membrane are available in 0.45µm pore size. Plates are commonly used for Elispot assays, bacterial screening, ELISA or viral infection studies. Inserts are used for cell-based assays such as in vitro toxicology, and analysis of cell surface receptors.
MultiScreen plates with glass fiber filters are available in both FB and FC glass supported either by Durapore membrane (0.65μm) or mesh for better flow properties. Plates are commonly used for receptor binding assays (GPCR screening), clarification of cellular debris or purifying protein precipitates.
MultiScreen plates with Durapore membrane are available in multiple pore sizes and with either hydrophilic or hydrophobic membranes. Plates are commonly used for general sample prep, purification of beads for Luminex assays, neonatal screening and Elispot assays.
PTFE membranes have low reactivity, low protein binding and are extremely resistant to solvents and harsh chemicals. Fluoropore is available in filter plates and Biopore is available in Millicell inserts for cell-based assasy.
MultiScreen plates are available with a variety of specialty membranes for different applications. Positively or negatively charged membranes, nylon mesh and Ultrafiltration membrane products are some examples of what is offered.
