33 mm Non-sterile Millex Filter Units

Non-sterile Millex filter units are now available in a new, larger 33 mm housing with Millipore Express PLUS (PES), Durapore (PVDF) and nylon membranes.

Faster Flow Rate

The larger filter surface area increases flow rates. It also makes it easier to filter solutions because it reduces the pressure required to empty the syringe.

Low Hold-up Volume

Despite the increased membrane area, the hold-up volume (after air purge) has been reduced to 80 µL, a 20% decrease over 25 mm Millex filters.

Higher Operating Pressure

New 33 mm non-sterile Millex filters have a maximum housing pressure of 8.6 bar (125 psi), which means you can filter solutions faster than before.

Available with Three Membrane Types

Millex filters with Millipore Express PLUS membrane have the fastest flow rates and twice the throughput of standard 25 mm syringe filters. Durapore membrane has the lowest protein binding of any membrane and is recommended for filtering solutions containing proteins. Nylon provides broad chemical compatibility for general filtration of aqueous and organic solutions.

Low Extractables

The housing materials and membranes are low in extractables that can interfere with analytical analyses.

Automated Manufacturing Process

The 33 mm Millex filter manufacturing process is fully automated from membrane cutting through device assembly and packaging to minimize the risk of contamination.
