Description
Vantage S2 and A2 columns are ideally suited for development, pilot or small scale production purification within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Sanitary design, ease of assembly and operation, use of solvent-resistant materials and highly efficient flow distribution make these columns suitable for a wide range of chromatography techniques and applications. The use of zero dead-space seals eliminates unswept volume within the column.

The bed support is 15 µm polypropylene mesh, and for user convenience, the flow cell and bed support is manufactured as an integral, disposable unit. Top and bottom flow cells are identical and feature the Millipore flow distributor allowing straightforward scale-up from lab through to larger process columns.

Vantage S2 (VS) features a single, central threaded adjuster which simplifies operation and minimizes components. Pressure rating for the Vantage S2 is 3 bar (43 psi).

Vantage A2 (VA) offers pneumatically-assisted axial compression and 7 bar (100 psi) pressure rating. Useful when used with more rigid, higher resolution chromatographic media. Pneumatically- assisted axial compression, using the Millipore Air Packing Controller (APC) means the column can be packed quickly. The column may simply be unpacked by removing the bottom flow cell and expelling the bed as a “plug” using gentle air pressure.
