Peristaltic Pumps

Applications

Millipore's peristaltic pumps are recommended for clarification and sterilizing filtration of culture media and other fluids using Millipak filter units. They are also used to operate laboratory bench-top tangential flow devices such as Millipore Pellicon® systems.

Choose from 3 different pump heads to provide flows of up to 1,680 mL/min.

Specifications

Drives

Variable-speed reversible drive has permanent magnet DC motor and solid-state control. Tubing diameter and pump head determine flow rate. Toggle switch controls flow direction, potentiometer controls flow rate/drive speed and red light indicates power.

Pump Heads

Polysulfone housings contain stainless steel roller assembly.

Tubing

Silicone tubing withstands 1.4 bar (20 psi) pressure when operated for up to 20 hours at 500 RPM. Tygon® tubing withstands 1.4 bar (20 psi) pressure when operated for up to 40 hours at 500 RPM. Norprene® tubing withstands 1.4 bar (20 psi) pressure when operated up to 1,000 hours at 500 RPM. Extend tubing life by operating at lower pressures and slower RPM.

Materials

ABS plastic, fire-resistant with IP53 rating; aluminum chassis; polysulfone/stainless steel peristaltic pump heads; silicone, Tygon (PVC), or Norprene (polyolefin) peristaltic tubing.
