STAR ELISA Kits
Overview:
Millipore’s Upstate STAR (Signal Transduction Assay
Reaction) ELISA kits are a fast, sensitive method to detect the relative
amounts of total and activated targets through the use of phospho-specific
antibodies.
The STAR assays are a solid phase sandwich enzyme linked
immunosorbent assay that provides a fast, sensitive method to detect specific
levels of signaling targets in whole cell extracts. The STAR 96-microwell clear
plates are coated with a specific mouse monoclonal capture antibody. The
detection antibody is either a specific rabbit total or phospho-specific
antibody that is used to detect the captured target in the wells of the plate.
The sensitive enzymatic detection of the sample is measured at absorbance of
450 nm using a standard plate reader.
The entire assay takes less
than five hours to complete, with minimal hands-on time. Many of the reagents
are supplied in ready-to-use formulations for ease of use and the kit includes
a standard that is run as both a positive control and to develop a standard
curve.
Kits are available for the detection of a variety of targets (total and phospho-specific state):
