Polybrene Infection / Transfection Reagent
Applications
A highly efficient method of gene transfer into mammalian cells is through infection with retroviral vectors. The efficiency of retroviral infection is enhanced significantly, 100 to 1,000 fold in some cells, by including polybrene during the infection. Polybrene (Millipore cat. no. TR-1003-G) with a DMSO shock is also used to mediate DNA transfer into a variety of cell types, such as CHO, chicken embryo fibroblasts, NINH-3T3 and Myeloid cells.Specifications
- Storage: Store at –20°C
- Sterility: Reagent is supplied sterile
- Reagent: 10 mg polybrene per mL sterile UltraPure water
