Millipore Announces Availability of Proxy Materials for its 2008 Annual Shareholder Meeting

BILLERICA, Mass., March 27, 2008– Millipore Corporation (NYSE: MIL), a life science leader providing technologies, tools and services for the bioscience research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, today announced that the Company’s proxy materials for its 2008 Annual Shareholder Meeting are now available on its website.

The Securities and Exchange Commission's new Notice and Access rule allows companies to furnish proxy materials to shareholders via the Internet as an alternative to traditional delivery of printed materials. By following the new Notice and Access rule, Millipore reduced the number of printed copies of its annual report and proxy materials this year by more than 85 percent, lowering the cost of both producing and delivering these materials while also reducing the associated environmental impact.

Millipore’s shareholders may have printed copies of the Company’s proxy materials sent to them free of charge by following the instructions provided on in the “Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials” that was mailed to shareholders as of the March 10, 2008 record date for the Annual Meeting. Millipore’s Annual Shareholder Meeting will be held at its corporate headquarters on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. The proceedings of the meeting will be webcast live via a link on the Company’s website at http://www.millipore.com.
