Environment, Health and Safety Policy

We commit to the following:

Meeting applicable environment, health and safety (EHS) laws and regulations.
Reducing negative EHS impacts related to our global activities, products and services.
Integrating EHS considerations into the development, manufacture and distribution of our products and services.
Implementing management systems and measuring our progress against our EHS goals and objectives.
Preventing pollution of the environment and reducing overall natural resource consumption.
Training employees in responsible EHS practices and encouraging their active participation to continuously improve our EHS performance.
Providing employees, customers and interested parties with timely information regarding our EHS performance.

Millipore’s commitment to environment, health and safety is an essential part of our corporate responsibility and commitment to the communities in which we operate.

Data Management

As with many companies, our most valuable asset is our employees. We have developed a global incident reporting database to facilitate reporting and provide information used in root cause analysis to prevent incidents from recurring in the future. This database tracks injuries and illnesses as well as environmental issues such as spills. We have also used the system to house “near miss” data so that we can better address areas where there are hazardous conditions.
