MILLIPLEX MAP Comparative Data

The performance characteristics of MILLIPLEX MAP Cell Signaling MAPmates were benchmarked against analytes selected from two competitors. A total of five phosphoprotein analytes (see table below) were selected based on availability from Millipore and competitor companies, as well as maximal signaling pathway overlap.

Manufacturer instructions for cell lysis and sample preparation as well as protocol assay procedures were followed rigorously for each of the cell signaling kits. The results below with the fold induction values demonstrate the superior product performance of the MILLIPLEX MAP Cell Signaling product line.
Advantages of MILLIPLEX MAP Cell Signaling Portfolio –
Simpler, Easier Multiplexing
  • Protocol & Assay Design: Very straightforward and user-friendly
    • No additional sample treatment for some MAPmates
    • One protocol design for all MAPmates
  • Kit Format: All kits designed with the same format for multiplexing with the least optimization
  • Buffers Required: Only two buffers required – Dilution and Wash buffers
  • Incubation Time & Temperature: Overnight incubation at 4° C
    • Shorter incubation time at room temperature possible
  • Standards & Controls:
    • Lyophilized negative control (unstimulated lysate) included in MILLIPLEX MAP Buffer & Detection Kit
    • Lyophilized positive control (stimulated lysate) included with MAPmates
