For Biomolecular and High Throughput Screening Studies
We offer a diverse line-up of more than a hundred serine/threonine kinases and tyrosine kinases. These kinases can be used for protein phosphorylation, enzyme assays, and high throughput screening (HTS) studies. They are active, highly purified, and extensively characterized. Many were originally developed in conjunction with leading labs worldwide and have been valuable tools for characterizing signal transduction pathways.
Kinases are some of the most commonly used molecular targets in biomolecular screening and HTS studies. Mutation and altered regulation of kinases has been linked to human diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and arthritis. The compound Gleevec® (STI-571) is one of the best examples of a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that has shown clinical success. Gleevec® is marketed as a highly effective therapeutic agent for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia. There are currently more than 15 different kinase inhibitors in clinical trials.
Our kinases are available in small lab pack sizes, custom bulks, and the new larger Kinase Discovery Packs. The key benefits of the Discovery Pack kinases are strong validation, lot-to-lot consistency, and high purity. Validation studies performed on the Discovery Pack kinases include sequence confirmation prior to expression, BLAST interpretation of the sequence, inhibitor studies for determining kinase nativeness, and routine usage in our specificity testing services to ensure consistent activity.
