If you prefer to design a custom assay, Millipore has simplified this process for you by providing MAPmates and a Buffer and Detection Kit, making ordering the necessary kit components easier so that you are assured you have everything you need to do your best work.

The Buffer and Detection Kit and MAPmates will provide you with all the components and reagents you need to simultaneously detect the multiple analytes you have chosen to study.

Step 1: Plan Your Assay

Choose the analytes you want to plex together and determine their compatibility using the MAPmates Buffer Table (Note: At this time, total and phosphorylated analytes cannot be plexed together)
Analytes that use the same assay buffer can be included in your custom assay

Step 2: Order the MILLIPLEX MAP Cell Signaling Buffer & Detection Kit

With the exception of MAPmates, this buffer kit contains everything you need to run your assay:

Step 3: Order the MAPmates You Have Selected

MAPmates are comprised of:

Capture Antibody (bead)
Detection Antibody (biotin)
Positive Control (stimulated cell lysate) for phosphorylated analytes which can be used to qualify assay performance or, with serial dilutions, to develop a standard curve (see protocol)
