Immobilon Transfer Membranes are robust, versatile PVDF substrates for a variety of applications, including westerns, dot/slot blots, protein sequencing,and MS analysis.
Superior Handling
Unlike traditional blotting membranes, Immobilon membranes won’t crack or curl, and they can be cut without fracturing. They are also compatible with a variety of detection chemistries, including radioactive, chromogenic, chemiluminescent, fluorescent, and chemifluorescent techniques.
Excellent Protein Binding and High Signal
Immobilon membranes have high protein adsorption, so you won’t lose proteins during transfer or reprobing. The open pore structure makes it easy to access bound proteins and remove unbound probes. In addition, membranes optimized for fluorescent blots dramatically increase signal for high sensitivity in quantitative, multiplexing applications.
Optimized to Applications
Three Immobilon membrane types are optimized for your applications and preferred detection chemistries.
Immobilon-P Membrane
The original, and most commonly used, PVDF transfer membrane for western blotting. It has a 0.45 µm pore size and is recommended for blotting proteins 20 kDa. It’s available in sheets, rolls, and pre-cut blotting sandwiches.Immobilon-PSQ Membrane
With its 0.2 µm pore size, this membrane has higher protein adsorption and sequencing yields than other membranes. Recommended for blotting proteins <20 kDa and sequencing.Immobilon-FL Membrane
The first transfer membrane optimized for fluorescence applications, with extremely low background fluorescence. Ideal for multiplexing. It has a 0.45 µm pore size and is compatible with all commonly used fluorescent dyes as well as non-fluorescent detection technologies.Immobilon-P Membrane is Compatible with a Variety of Stains
