Millipore in Cork

Established in 1988, Millipore Ireland manufactures filtration devices and plastic membrane films which are used in a wide range of critical applications requiring precision filtration and purification. Our products sterilise drug solutions (e.g. Insulin), test beverages for purity, filter iv fluids in patient care and are used in hundreds of other applications in such industry sectors as healthcare, pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory testing.

The plant is located on a 38 acre site at Carrigtwohill, County Cork. The main activities at the site include membrane casting, plastic injection moulding and the assembly of small-area filtration devices.

Millipore Ireland produces 98% of worldwide Durapore demand.

Millipore Ireland continues to develop as a centre of excellence within the Millipore Corporation.
