Millipore Introduces New Fortis™ SL Solvent Filtration Cartridge Filters for Reliable API Filtration

Billerica, Massachusetts—May 30, 2007—Millipore Corporation announced today that new Fortis SL cartridge filters are now available. With broad chemical and caustic compatibility of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), these filters are ideal for use in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) containing methylene chloride, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, ethyl acetate and other organic solvents.

Fortis SL cartridge filters are available in 10-, 20-, and 30-inch sizes. They can be autoclaved or steamed in place up to 135°C. The robust design of Fortis SL cartridge filters delivers superior bacterial retention and particle removal with a value to match your bulk processing needs. Fortis SL cartridge filters are manufactured with a consistent, repeatable manufacturing process that is characterized by high capacity, low extractables and resistance to thermal and hydraulic stress.
