Millipore, a key player in the Massachusetts Biotech Corridor, has invested approximately $3.5 million dollars in the new Danvers bioprocess facility, which will employ approximately 120 people. The new facility contains 12,500 square feet of Class 10,000 clean room space and is in the process of becoming LEED® Gold certified. The newly added, state-of-the-art manufacturing space will focus on manufacturing components of Millipore’s Mobius single-use solutions, and allows for scale-up when additional manufacturing capacity is needed.

To mark the occasion Millipore is hosting an open house at its Danvers, Massachusetts, facility on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, and will showcase its new state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities for a wide range of turnkey disposable solutions. Customers, local dignitaries and Millipore executives will be in attendance to celebrate this facility dedication.
