Millipore Chairman and CEO Martin Madaus will offer opening remarks at the Convention's ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Though based in Massachusetts, Millipore has a strong presence in California with Bioprocess facilities located in Anderson and Bioscience facilities in Temecula.

Millipore will host two exhibit spaces: Booth #5201 in the San Diego Convention Center Main Pavillion and Booth #931 in the Massachusetts Pavillion. On Tuesday from 3:15 to 5 p.m., convention attendees are invited to meet Jonathan DiVincenzo at Millipore's Booth #931. It was recently announced that DiVincenzo will become president of Millipore's Bioscience Division in 2009.

On Wednesday, June 18, Madaus will hold a 9 a.m. news conference announcing a significant grant to Scripps Research Institute scientist Jeanne Loring.
