Simplify Routine Surface Monitoring
Millipore’s Swab Test Kits simplify your routine surface monitoring of pipes, valves, equipment, doors, windows, and any other non-flat surfaces. These kits eliminate the cumbersome techniques associated with traditional testing. There is no media to mix, no agar plates to prepare, and nothing to sterilize or clean. Testing is an easy three-step process: swab the surface, dip the tester to filter the sample, and count the resulting colonies after incubation.

Compact and convenient, the Swab Test Kits are pre-sterilized, packaged, and ready-to-use. After incubation, you can count colonies visually using the grid marks on the filter as reference points or make a quick estimate based on the Comparison Chart included with the kit. Depending on the type of dehydrated nutrient agar contained in the Swab Test Kit, you can test for the presence of several kinds of bacteria as well as yeast and mold.



Select the Appropriate Medium for Your Application
Use the HPC Swab Test Kit (red), containing mHPC medium, to test for “stressed” aerobic bacteria (i.e., partially sanitized or nutritionally starved).

Use the Total Count Swab Test Kit (white), containing TGY medium, to test for non-stressed aerobic bacteria.

Use the Coli-Count Swab Test Kit (blue), containing a proprietary coliform medium, to test for coliform organisms.

Use the Yeast and Mold Swab Test Kit (yellow), containing m-Green medium, to test for yeast and mold.
