Pure and Ultra-Pure Water and Water for Injection: Detecting low levels of contamination in water requires testing a large sample. For ultra-pure water and water for injection at least 200mL of water should be tested. Membrane filtration allows the testing of such large samples. Additionally, microorganisms found in water systems are usually in a relatively dormant metabolic state. Using one of Millipore’s rapid detection methods allows you to detect slow-growing contaminants faster than traditional methods.

Clean in Place (CIP) Rinse Water: CIP refers to the process of cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment while fully assembled, without dismantling and cleaning the individual parts. Compared to manual cleaning, CIP is faster and more cost-effective. By monitoring CIP rinse water for microbial contamination, you can be assured that the manufacturing line is ready for use.
