Endothelial cells line the interior surface of blood vessels throughout the entire circulatory system. They are involved in many aspects of vascular biology, including blood pressure control, blood clotting, atherosclerosis, angiogenesis and inflammation.

Millipore offers the unique range of EndoGRO media formulations that provide optimal cell culture conditions for many types of endothelial cells, including HUVEC, aortic endothelial cells and other human large vessel, and microvascular endothelial cells. These low-serum formulations have been shown to grow endothelial cells at rates that meet or exceed other commercially available serum-containing media while maintaining excellent cell morphology. Also available are low passage Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC), which when cultured with the EndoGRO media provide an ideal cell model for vascular biology research.
