WEEE Compliance

In 2002, the European Union issued a directive, 2002/96/EC, to regulate the handling of electrical and electronic equipment waste. This directive affects products sold after August 13, 2005. Millipore, as a manufacturer of equipment that contains electrical and electronic components, offers options for its customers in the European Union to return the equipment for proper disposal.

Customers have the option of sending product back for replacement on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. They also have the option to ship the product back for final disposal.

Follow the links below to learn about the procedure to return electrical and electronic waste in EU states where Millipore has a subsidiary:

Some countries are missing specific procedures, to request details on how to return a used electric or electronic product for recycling please contact us at WEEE@Millipore.com.

In EU states where Millipore products are sold through distributors, please contact the distributor directly to inquire about disposal of electrical and electronic waste. Contact information is provided through the links below:

Millipore does not have a sales office or approved distributor in Luxembourg. Instead, Millipore products are sold directly to end users in Luxembourg from sales offices in other EU states, which is considered distance selling. The WEEE Directive and Member State WEEE Regulations state that Millipore is not responsible for WEEE arising from distance sales of B2B products. Instead, it is the end user's responsibility to ensure that the products they buy through distance selling are managed in an environmentally responsible manner at end of life.
