Guava Cell Cycle AssayQuick, easy determinations of G0/G1,S, G2/M cell cycle phases |
| Measure cell cycle phase distributions The Guava Cell Cycle Assay measures G0/G1, S, and G2/M phase distributions. Whether you are exploring the mitotic pathway or evaluating novel compounds for cancer therapies, you will appreciate the ease and convenience of doing cell cycle studies right in your lab. Simple, direct assay The Guava Cell Cycle Assay uses the nuclear DNA stain, propidium iodide (PI), to measure cell cycle. Resting cells (G0/G1) contain two copies of each chromosome. Cycling cells synthesize chromosomal DNA (S phase), which results in increased fluorescence intensity. When all chromosomal DNA has doubled (G2/M phase), cells fluoresce with twice the intensity of the initial population. Click the PDF above for the full document. | |
