| Millipore’s EZ-Pad is a lactose triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) tergitol nutrient media pad designed for the detection of Escherichia coli and coliform bacteria in water. E-coli and coliforms are easily identified (yellow colonies with yellow halos) and enumerated on the Lactose TTC tergitol pads. Lactose negative bacteria are either inhibited or develop as small reddish colonies. This comprehensive EZ-Pad nutrient media pad test kit includes individual sterile dehydrated media pads in Petri dishes and a cartridge of EZ-Pak 0.45 μm gridded mixed esters of cellulose membranes. With the convenient easy-to-use EZ-Pak dispenser, users are able to quickly remove and unwrap individual sterile EZ-Pak membranes with forceps, eliminating the risk of accidental contamination.
