| Millipore cartridge filters with SMART Technology have RFID (radio frequency identification) tags embedded in the code 7 filter spear. These tags are fully isolated from the flow path and do not affect filter performance. Each tag reliably stores several hundred alphanumeric characters. Key filter information such as Catalogue Number, Lot Number, Serial Number and cartridge specific data can be stored. SMART tags are irremovable, mechanically and thermally stable.
