| ToxReporter ELISA: Cell-Based Assays Targeting Toxicity Pathways New solutions are required to address toxicity and adverse clinical effects as early as possible in the drug discovery continuum. ToxReporter ELISA is one of these solutions. Advances in drug discovery continue to unfold rapidly, with Pharma now able to address the historical common causes of drug failures – poor PK/PD and ADME properties – with new technologies. While lack of efficacy and commercial reasons will always be an issue, the greatest bottlenecks continue to be compound safety, toxicity and unexpected adverse events during clinical trials. These are areas where new solutions are required – solutions that allow the identification of “bad” compounds and either “fail” these drugs as early as practically possible in the drug discovery continuum or monitor potential risks and flag compounds as they advance through the pipeline. Identifying potential toxicity issues earlier will save significant development costs and avoid serious and sometimes deadly side effects. Click the PDF above for the full document. | |
