| Recombinant adenoviruses are widely used as vectors for introducing heterologous genes into
mammalian cells. Their use requires lengthy procedures for selection, purification and
propagation of the adenovirus and for titer determination. We report here improved methods for
adenovirus purification and titration. In our purification method, viral particles are captured on
chemically modified membranes. Our specific wash and elution protocols allow for an efficient
recovery of high virus titer.
