P suppressor/cytotoxic T lymphocytes in human blood. The reagent kit consists of an anti-human CD3 antibody conjugated to the tandem dye phycoerythrin (PE)-Cy5(PECy5), an anti-
human CD8 antibody conjugated to PE, Guava 1X Lysing Solution to lyse erythrocytes and Guava Fixative
to preserve the cells. The CD3 antibody uniquely identifies T cells and recognizes an epitope that is
expressed on the epsilon chain of the CD3/T cell antigen receptor (TcR) complex. The CD8 antibody allows the identification of human suppressor/cytotoxic CD8+ T cell and recognizes an antigen expressed
on the 32K Da α-subunit of the disulfide linked CD8 biomolecular complex. The cytoplasmic domain of the α-subunit of the CD8 antigen is associated with the protein tyrosine kinase p56 1ck. The CD8 antigen is also present on a subset of natural killer (NK) lymphocytes without the co-expression of CD3 molecule. |
