Milliflex-100 Test System

Lit No.:OM935

The Milliflex-100 Test System provides the following advantages over traditional techniques:
  • No Time Consuming Preparation - Milliflex-100 units are pre-sterilized and ready to use. This eliminates equipment cleaning, wrapping and autoclaving, and minimizes filter handling.
  • Simple to Use - Simplicity minimizes the need for training in aseptic techniques. For example, the sterile spacer eliminates the need to sanitize the support head between samples.
  • Faster Filtration - Units provide up to double the effective membrane surface area of a standard 47 mm membrane*; this, increasing flow rates, throughput as well as reducing the probability of having confluent colonies.
  • Consistent Recoveries - The membrane’s resulting convex shape after filtration allows firm, uniform contact over the entire media pad/agar surface, preventing air bubbles from being trapped between the membrane and the media. This ensures that the organisms have sufficient access to the nutrients provided in the cassette.
  • Simplified Colony Counting - A clear condensation-free window in the cover of the medium cassette permits rapid, safe, and accurate colony counting.
  • Choice of Media - Milliflex cassettes are available for liquid media, solid agar media or in agar pre-filled format for minimum preparation with optimum results.
  • Applicability to Worldwide Standards - You can use the Milliflex-100 Test System with methodologies described in the latest edition of worldwide pharmacopoeias (European, USP, Japanese) as well as other regulatory requirements (E.P.A. has confirmed that Milliflex-100 falls within the description of equipment for the membrane filtration procedure in the U.S. Standard Method).
  • More Reliable Results - The Milliflex unit eliminates membrane handling and transfers, suppressing one of the major risk of extraneous contamination.
